Netanyahu visits Cyprus

 

ISRAEL and Cyprus are making up for lost time in the “natural” relations between two democracies, focusing their efforts on energy collaboration while leaving the door open for further regional cooperation, said Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Nicosia yesterday.
Netanyahu’s one-day visit to Cyprus marked the first ever by an Israeli PM, a sign of closer ties between the two countries following the finding of gas reserves in their respective exclusive economic zones (EEZ).
“The flight from Israel to Cyprus is about 45 minutes… it has taken 63 years for an Israeli PM to make this trip and I want to thank you for the invitation and the friendship that is developing between the two countries,” he said..... more.......
