Bulgaria opens consular office in Vlora

Greece still continues to block the issuing of political citizenship for 600 thousand Northern Epiriotes, treating them only as immigrant from bureaucratic offices of Athens.

Bulgaria, is the only state that provides the easier procedures for citizenship for Albanian citizens, opening its new Consular office in Vlora.

Is very interesting the fact, that Greece has a ;large Christian population, concentrated for centuries, Greek speakers, in Vlora, and in its surroundings, without excluding the tens of thousands of immigrants who need consular services, but that, not become a reality, even though the Greek community of Vlora, has asked Athens for years to open consulate in Southeaster town.

But the opening of the Bulgarian Consulate in Vlora, besides Italian, complicates matters of geopolitical issue, for which Bulgaria wants to give more than 60 thousand passports issued to Albanian citizens.

On the other hand, Greece continues to block the issuing of political citizenship to give 600 thousand Northern Epiriotes, treating them only as immigrant from bureaucratic offices of Athens.

A bill, drafted and proposed to the Greek parliament since in April, from the Ministry of Interior, is not approved and maintained in bureaucratic manner by the Greek government, to be used for political election campaign.

According to the draft, benefiting the entire diaspora Greek citizenship, Greek Omogen, not only for Northern Epirus citizens, who will be equipped with Greek citizenship, consular offices in Albania.

But the project remains stalled and hosts a political order from Athens.
