Skopje. First they imposed a veto on us, now they are assimilating the minority, the Macedonian Vecer daily writes in an article titled Greek-Bulgarian Coalition against Macedonians in Albania.
Greeks and Bulgarians joined forces against Macedonians also in Albania. At a joint press conference the leader of the Greek Unity for Human Rights Party Vangjel Dule announced the cooperation of his party with Izeir Fetahu, chairman of the Party for Democratic Prosperity, as a coalition with the Bulgarians in Albania.
We will cooperate in these elections. The Party for Democratic Prosperity, which represents the interests of the Bulgarian community in Golo Brdo, will cooperate with us in these elections, Dule said at a press conference.

The Macedonian Alliance for European Integration denied the claims that Bulgarians live in Golo Brdo.
“This is absolute propaganda of the Bulgarian state against Macedonians in Albania and assimilation of Macedonians in Albania. Having imposed a veto on Macedonia for its EU accession negotiations, now Bulgaria and Greece are trying to destroy and assimilate the Macedonian minority,” said Vasil Steriovski, secretary general of the Macedonian Alliance for European Integration.
Steriovski considers this a great defeat also for the Macedonian diplomacy, which held a meeting with Izeir Fetahu and presented him as a leader of the second Macedonian party in Albania.

The unprincipled coalition will harm the Macedonians in the June elections in the region of Elbasan, where a lot of Macedonians from Golo Brdo live.
According to the Vecer daily, for two years Fetahu has been successfully cooperating with the Bulgarian radical Krasimir Karakachanov. They are reported to be working on the agenda – Bulgarian passports for the Macedonians in Albania.
