The President of the Republic of Albania, Bujar Nishani, speaking at the 7th conference of chiefs of General Staffs of the Balkan armies, sought the cooperation of all countries to maintain peace and security in the region.

"I think a lot of Euro-Atlantic integration, as well as regional cooperation and integration are the most valuable instruments for achieving the objectives of all our countries. Security risks are not just local and less national borders closed. None of our countries can not afford the risks only. In this regard we must find common solutions, which should be as logical as it is affordable. We must take measures to protect the wiser. I would like to urge this forum to consider ways to expand capacities for cooperation in providing military support to the civilian population ", - said President Nishani.

Under President Nishani, there are all possibilities for improving collaborative work in the field of security and defense.

In the 7th Conference of Heads Initiative General Staff of the Balkan countries, which began today works in Tirana hosts participating heads of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Greece, Macedonia, Montenegro, Serbia, Turkey and Romania. At this conference, the status of guests attending and chief of the General Staff of Croatia and Slovenia, as well as senior representatives of NATO and the European Union.
