Thousands attend funeral of murdered Serb

ZVEČAN -- The funeral of 28-year-old Savo Mojsić, held near Zvečan in northern Kosovo, was attended by several thousand people, said news agency reports.

Mojsić was shot and killed on Wednesday evening in the ethnically mixed neighborhood of Brđani, near Kosovska Mitrovica, when two other Serbs were wounded.

Eyewitnesses said that they were attacked by ethnic Albanians, while a spokesman for the Kosovo police, KPS, said that there were still no suspects in the murder case.

The Serbian government condemned the latest violence in Kosovo and demanded that EULEX investigate the Mojsić murder case and bring the perpetrator to justice.

The funeral service on Thursday was served by Serbian Orthodox Church Bishop of Raška and Prizren Teodosije.

It was also attended by ;inister for Kosovo and Metohija Goran Bogdanović and his associates and representatives of local self-governments in northern Kosovo.
