Dnevnik: Albanian Macedonia book presented in Tetovo

Skopje. “Many events and persons of the Albanian history have been stolen by Macedonia and this should be corrected” – this was said during the presentation of a book called ‘Albanian Macedonia’ in the town of Tetovo, Macedonian "Dnevnik" newspaper writes.

According to the author – Nijazi Muhamedi, the book is an announcement for an encyclopedia, which should be presented next year.According to the book, Alexander the Great was an Albanian, as well as the St. Jovan Bigorski monastery.

There is proof that many historical persons were Albanians. They were forcibly turned into Macedonians, while during the communism these people were obliged to study Macedonian.

As a result of this, 100,000 Albanians have lost their identity, including four academicians with the Macedonian Academy of Science and Art (MASA), who declare themselves Macedonians.

Writer Matea Matevski and composer Todor Skalovski are also Albanians, says Muhamedi.
Dnevnik comments that Muhamedi is adviser of Menduh Thaci, leader of the Democratic Party of Albanians.
