Turkey continued its seemingly never-ending provocations in the area between Greece’s islands of Rhodes and Castellorizo on Monday by issuing a barrage of new Navigational Telexes (NAVTEX).

This time, the Turkish Office Of Navigation, Hydrography and Oceanography  unilaterally blocked off a massive sea area east-southeast of the island of Rhodes, and south of the tiny Greek archipelago of Castellorizo.

Three different NAVTEXes block off these regions of the sea for November 27, 28 and 29.

The blocked-off area will be used by the Turkish Navy to conduct military exercises, just days after the joint military training operations it conducted along with the Pakistani Army.

The former exercises prompted Greece to issue an angry protest against Islamabad one week ago, when a demarche was sent from Athens to Islamabad.

The recent developments appear to demonstrate that Ankara’s leadership is determined to continue its aggressive and provocative course of action against both the Republic of Cyprus and Greece.
