Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic stated on Thursday that the Albanian ambassador in Belgrade, who refused to collect the protest note of the Serbian Ministry of Foreign Affairs over the stoning of the bus transporting the Serbian football team in Tirana, has acted in an undiplomatic manner and will therefore be denied contact with Serbian officials in the next six months.
Addressing a news conference following the meeting with Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs of Great Britain Philip Hammond, Vucic said that ambassadors have the right to react in such a manner and that Serbia can declare them as persona non grata or deny them contact with Serbian representatives for the duration of six months in such instances.

My decision is for us to try and not spoil the relations in this way, which is why he (Albanian ambassador) will not be able to reach me or other government officials over the next six months, Vucic said and added that such behavior cannot be tolerated.

Vucic said that he talked to Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, and that the two countries would continue their cooperation.
