EU condemns violence in Kosovo parliament


The European Integration Office,EU's Special Representative in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM), embassies and EU MS' Offices all condemned the violence in KiM parliament.

The European Integration Office, EU's Special Representative in Kosovo-Metohija (KiM), embassies and Member States' Offices all condemned the violence that took place on Thursday in KiM parliament and deemed it unacceptable.
We condemn the opposition's actions in the assembly and we urge them to respect the basic principles of democracy and allow an open debate on the KiM issues in the parliament, reads the joint statement.

Violent actions, similar to those in the parliament are pitiful, the statement says, adding that everyone is free to express their opinion and defend their stand but that the use of violence is unacceptable.
