Albania: An emergence project for gun civil registration"
A day meeting regional trafficking of firearms, was held in Tirana .
Director General of State Police, Burgaj, suggested that Albania has drafted a project for gun registration. He said that the State Police has done a great job in preventing trafficking and organized crime.
"Currently, the State Police is implementing a project for gun registration electronically. This project is being implemented initially in Tirana and Durres. But it will be extended throughout the country thanks to the collaboration.
Intensified measures to fight organized crime. 20 cases were identified last year for trafficking in weapons, and arrested 23 people. Important in this section is the confiscation of these weapons. Given that crime knows no borders, the fight against it is common to be effective. We are ready to intensify cooperation, "said Burgaj.
