Chinese CNEEC seek to extend business activity in Albania

China National Electric Equipment Corporation, the largest state provider of equipment for the energy sector and one of the top 100 companies in China is interested to extend its activity in Albania, the company’s Vice President Zheng Chengjun said during a meeting with Albanian Prime Minister Sali Berisha.

“The company is interested in investment projects in infrastructure, construction of roads, hydro power construction projects, as well as to explore any opportunity in the field of water management,” Chengjun said.

“The very positive developments of the Albanian economy over the last years have encouraged the executive board of our company to extend its investment projects also to Albania,” Chengjun added.

Berisha appreciated the fact that this company could invest in Albania. He assured the company's representatives of the government's support, of transparency in cooperation with investors, as guaranteed by the laws through which business in Albania operates.
