Veteran footballers from Greece, Italy, Albania and Turkey will play on January 10 in Albania to raise money for the victims of the devastating quake which shook the country on November 26, 2019.

The friendly game will be held at the Air Albania Stadium in Tirana, where the longtime players from the nations of Albania, Greece, Turkey and Italy will give their best performance for the best possible cause.

Among the players who will play in the charity game will be Gianluca Zambrotta and Simone Perrotta, both of whom are 2006 world champions with Italy; Hasan Sas, who was a protagonist when Turkey finished third in the World Cup of 2002; and of course, ex Inter player George Karagounis, European champion with Greece in 2004, when the country won the Euro.

The game has been organized with the full support of the Albanian Football Federation.

A strong 6.4-magnitude earthquake hit Western Albania in November, killing dozens of people and causing widespread structural damage in the cities of Durres (Dyrrachium) and Tirana.
