"I want to convey a message to Russia, everyone will be happier if Russia returns to the international community table. It is clear that this can only happen if Putin exits Ukraine," said Renzi.
He also expressed concern "about the war in Libya," the Beta news agency reported, and said the international community should engage more in that country.

"I want the international community to be aware that the Mediterranean is a strategic issue for the next 30 years," said the Italian prime minister.

On the occasion of his first anniversary in office, Renzi said that "a lot still needs to do get Italy back on its feet."
