Skopje. France, Greece, Bulgaria, and probably Spain, will be the countries that will impose a veto on Macedonia’s European wishes, writes Macedonian Utrinski Vesnik daily.

According to the newspaper, Greece is firmly decided to impose a veto, while Bulgaria is about to reconsider its decision, since the motives of the Bulgarian veto are only partially known. Spain’s position, on the other hand, has not been set in support to Greece yet.

Utrinski Vesnik writes that France will back Greece, since Athens cannot secure a veto on Macedonia on its own.

The newspaper also reads that this time Cyprus is inclined to back Macedonia’s candidacy. Utrinski Vesnik cites Bulgarian MEP Kristian Vigenin, who said that according to him, no one trusts the Bulgarian veto, which Athens counted on very much.
