Nationality, the Court of Permet sends a request in the Constitutional Court


After the Court of Saranda is the Court of Permet which sends a request to the Constitutional Court for the interpretation of the law on "civil state" where is used the term nationality.

Permet Court asks the Constitutional Court to declare as incompatible with Articles 19 and 20 of the Constitution of the Republic of Albania, the term "nationality" by the law dated 11.5.2009 for the civil "status".

According to the court the law is unconstitutional and that this law has opened the way in recent years to the massive changes in the Albanian nationality in the Greek nationality.

While accordind to the court of Permet, it has an influx of requests for the change of nationality where more than 550 Albanians have changed nationality.

While Vice President of High Council of Justice has described the masive change of nationality by the Albanian population in Greece as a violation of the sovereignty, as a result of seduction by the neighbor state.
