Computers with Greek characters in Albanian schools

1112The hope that the Albanian leadership will soon conduct an objective census under the supervision of the Council of Europe – which will include Greeks living in that country – was expressed by the Parliamentary Speaker Philippos Petsalnikos and the presidents of the Omonia organisation, Vassilis Bolanos (foto), and of the Human Rights Unity Party, Vangelis Doule.

It was stressed at the meeting, which took place in a very cordial climate, that the issue of documenting the size of the Greek minority in Albania was also a demand of the European Union, which always refers to the issue of human rights in its reports on the country’s progress towards potential EU accession.
