Pristina, April 29, 2020 - The Embassy of the United States of America in Kosovo has reacted with indignation to the incident that occurred on Tuesday evening in the village of Cernica in the municipality of Gjilan, where the uninhabited house of a Serbian resident was burned.


In its Twitter reaction, the US Embassy said that acts of violence against minority communities should be unacceptable to all citizens of Kosovo. She stressed that incidents like this in Cernica should be fully clarified and the perpetrators brought to justice.


"Violence targeting minority communities, including allegations of arson in Kosovo Serb homes, must be unacceptable to all citizens who believe in peace and justice. Such incidents should be fully investigated and prosecuted, "reads the response of the US Embassy in Kosovo.
