Tanjug reported this on Tuesday, citing ministry sources.
Along the extradition request, Serbia sent the accompanying documentation translated into French, based on which the French judicial authorities will decide whether conditions have been met to extradite Haradinaj.

The Kosovo Albanian politician, a former KLA commander, was arrested last Wednesday in France based on a war crimes warrant issued by Serbia in 2004. He has been held in custody since.

Serbia suspects Haradinaj of committing crimes in Kosovo and Metohija that have not been previously included in the Hague Tribunal's case against the former Kosovo prime minister, which ended in his acquittal.

The war crimes committed against civilians, cited in Serbia's indictment, took place in the "operations zone" Dukadjin ("Dukagjini") during 1998 and 1999.
