About 60,000 Kosovo Albanians want Serbian passports

BELGRADE – Serbian Interior Minister Nebojsa Stefanovic said Friday that Serbia had received about 60,000 passport applications from Kosovo Albanians.

“We have more than 60,000 applications from Albanians from Kosovo-Metohija for passports of our country,” Stefanovic said after signing a protocol on the implementation of the agreement between Serbia and the European Union on the readmission of persons with Swedish Ambassador to Serbia Christer Asp.
Stefanovic told reporters that he interpreted the situation as a desire of the Kosovo Albanians for Serbia to be their country.
