Pope Francis, rejects PM of Kosovo, to be part of meetings

Vatican still does not recognize an independent Kosovo, followed by Greece, Spain, Romania, Slovakia and Cyprus

PRISHTINE- outgoing Prime Minister Hashim Thaci has asked the authorities of Albania during the visit of Pope Francis in Tirana, on 21 September, to enable them to be part of the official agenda meetings with Catholic leader, but the Vatican has rejected such a possibility.

Express Newspaper sources in Tirana writes that the Vatican has rejected the possibility that Hashim Thaci to be part of the official agenda of Pope Francis meetings with authorities in Tirana.

"Minister asked last night to be part of meeting the Pope will do in Tirana. Vatican official was contacted and he has refused to be part of "informed the sources of the Gazette.

The Kosovo Prime Minister last year took part in the inauguration of a new Pope, while his office had announced that he was waiting in private audience by Pope Francis.
