Rugova's son arrested
The Kosovo Parliament Member, Uke Rugova, son of the former President of Kosovo, Ibrahim Rugova, was arrested today by authorities.

He is suspected of organized crime, fraud and illegal influencing. Unofficial sources say that Rugova and others are suspected of being involved in acts that are related to purchase of visas at the Italian Embassy. The details have not been confirmed yet by lawyer Bajram Tmava or even by EULEX.

EULEX confirmed that the defendants had their houses raided today.

“We started a raiding operation this morning, and we arrested a group of defendants who are suspected of being involved in a criminal activity, organized crime, fraud and illegal influencing. The police operation started at 06:30. Masked members of the International Police are keeping closed the road in which Rugova’s house is situated. In front of the Rugova house there is the residence of the Swiss ambassador to Kosovo, the personnel of which, due to the presence of the police, has not moved from the house. The operation is part of a joint investigation with the Kosovo police”.
