Seven inmates escape from Drenova prison

Seven inmates escape from Drenova prison
Seven inmates convicted for several criminal acts and considered as dangerous individuals have escaped from the Drenova high security prison.

Police say that the convicts are: Admir Tafili, Frank Marashi, Gezim Guri, Gezim Thoma, Reis Haxhiaj, Eduard Lula and Artur Gora.

Police say that during the escape they have been able to take the guards’ guns, and now they are traveling armed and pose a high social risk.

The Ministry of Interior ordered the creation of a working group, with several forces spread in the area.

The Interior Minister, Saimir Tahiri, met in Tirana with the Prosecutor General, Adriatik Llalla and with the Minister of Justice, Nasip Naco.

The Ministry of Interior also says that they have warned the neighboring countries of Macedonia and Greece, while the border police are on alert.
