Strong explosion in northern Kosovska Mitrovica

KOSOVSKA MITROVICA -- A strong explosion was reported in northern Kosovska Mitrovica at 22:20 CET on Sunday.

There were no casualties, but there was damage to vehicles and windows on the nearby building.
The device used was most likely a hand grenade.

The explosion happened in the vicinity of the city's multiethnic part called Tri Solitera and a Kosovo police checkpoint, according to a Tanjug reporter at the scene.

The police secured the area immediately and started their investigation.

KFOR was also at the scene.

The explosion was extremely powerful, so a crowd of people gathered at the location.

Kosovo Albanian Selver Haradinaj was killed in an explosion at the same place last year.
