Statement of New Democratic Party in Greece for the prosecution Nahum Dishio

The Head of Sector for Foreign Affairs of New Democracy MP Second Athens, Panos Panayiotopoulos made the following statement:

"These days the Court of Appeal in Korca, the process of the unjust persecution of the President of" Concorde "Korca Nahum Ntiso by psefdestati and fabricated charges of" desecration "Bobostitcha tombs in Korca.
Recall that previous decisions of the Court and the Court of Appeal in Korca which imposed the sentence Ntiso one year without suspension, followed by the invasion of the police at his home without warning and in a manner that flagrantly violated the family's asylum.

Now the case is returned to Korca Appeal for review.

The unacceptable police and judicial actions against Naum Ntiso with unfounded and fabricated charges and attempts terrified he and his family attack the Greeks living for centuries in neighboring Albania and cracking, in the most brutal and blatant way, human rights of the Greek minority. The task of justice is to objectively examine the case and decide based on facts and not with the compass forged indictment and the climate of anti-Hellenic grown in our neighboring country of extreme groups and from a portion of the Albanian media.

We urge the Albanian government to respect the rights of the Greeks, as arising from international treaties, which has signed and accepted, and Albania itself. The nationalist, xenophobic and racist anti-Hellenic climate fueled in recent years in Albania by extremist groups does not help in the improvement of Greek-Albanian relations, but becomes a brake on the European course of Albania.

The LD with a sense of historical responsibility towards Hellenism around the world will continue to monitor very closely what is happening in Albania and will continue to be always on the side of Northern and generally all Greeks in Albania and stands in their struggle for national dignity and full respect for and safeguarding human rights ".
