A new Greek-Turkish diplomatic incident

Greek-Turkish Meetings Defies Protocol; Hangs Turkish Flag Only

A few days ago Greek Vice Admiral Dimitris Elefsiniotis, at the invitation of his Turkish counterpart Admiral Ugur Yigit, visited Ankara. The meeting was also attended by Turkish Chief of General Staff Isik Kosaner.

There was no Greek flag in the room as required by protocol. Ironically they did not forget to place the Turkish flag along with a Kemal Ataturk’s portrait. This incident cannot be considered random since navy protocol is stricter than the protocol of diplomatic visits.
