Vučić was to visit Leposavić in the north, and the Serb enclave of Gračanica in central Kosovo.

But Vučić decided not to go "after it was not made possible for Minister (without portfolio) in Charge of Kosovo and Metohija Aleksandar Vulin" to travel with him "due to the conditioning from Priština."

The Government Office for Kosovo said in a statement that Vučić "did not want to accept Priština's conditions."

"I want to address my people loud and clear and I want the minister in charge of Kosovo and Metohija to come with me. I do not accept conditions of that type," Vučić was quoted as saying.

According to the statement, the deputy prime minister expressed his expectation that he would be able to visit Kosovo with Vulin "or with any other official of Serbia" by the end of the end of the campaign for the November 3 local elections in Kosovo
