Action for protected areas
The Environment Minister, Lefter Koka, declared that 500 illegal constructions will be demolished in 54 protected areas throughout the country.

Koka said that the verification results of illegal constructions showed that they are spread throughout the country, from north to south, including national parks, natural reserves, monuments of nature and areas that have been included by law in the list of protected areas.

The Minister listed some of the protected areas that have been identified as most problematic, such as the Buna River, the natural reserve of Kuna, Patok, the National Park of Butrint, Divjaka, the Llogara National Park and the Pogradec Lake.
