Gjirokaster, female police agents
44 new candidates from the Gjirokaster District will compete for entering the police forces, after finishing the academy.

This initiative was greeted during a training held in Gjirokaster, where were present many high-rank Police officials.

The candidates have participated in an orienting training while other female police employees of higher ranks in the country have brought their experiences.

Edlira Zoto, specialist for the diversity in the Police General Headquarters declared that the interest level for becoming part of the Police has tripled, compared to one year ago.

The applicants see the Police forces as a sector that cannot exclude the female force, as any other sector, and where they could grow in career.

The Gjirokaster district currently has 26 female Police effectives, a very small number in proportion with the total number of employees, but very considerable if compared to a few years ago.
