Ancient promenade uncovered in Antigonea
The archeological expedition that is digging at the Archeological Park of Antigonea, Saranda Region of Southern Albania (Epirus), has uncovered the two-storey promenade in south of the 45 hectare ancient city.

The 84 meters long object is an important archeological discovery.

The expedition of Albanian archeologists has uncovered so far the walls of the main street, clay objects of daily use and 4 coins of the Coinage of the Epirus, which were added to the collection of 1000 pieces that have been uncovered in this site.

The Park Director, Engjell Serjani sees this discovery as another promotion of the Antigonea Park. He hopes that these discoveries will increase the number of visitors and the interest for Antigonea.

Despite the important discoveries, the real challenge is the uncovering of the city’s theater. The expedition has planned the possible locations where they will start digging.
