During his visit to Romania, Albanian PM Edi Rama was received by his counterpart, Victor Ponta.
Rama urges Ponta to recognize Kosovo
Prime Minister Edi Rama met with his Romanian counterpart Victor Ponta. In a joint press conference the Albanian PM urged him to recognize Kosovo's independence, as it is an issue of common security.
"My repeated request is for Romania to finally recognize Kosovo and help increasing the number of recognitions. This is not a bilateral issue, but an issue of common security. We must not let other forces influence this security area", he said while visiting Romania.
Rama also said that Ministries of Education of both countries, have signed an agreement for Albanian students who want to study in Romania in the field of IT. According to him, another agreement will be reached in the field of energy.
Meanwhile, Rama also spoke about the support that Romania will provide in the joint project with the European Commission to build a network of experts who will assist Albania in the integration process.
"These experts have helped Romania, and other countries and are willing to come and work in Tirana", he said.
