According to Ilirian Celibashi and Luan Rama, these decisions are against the Electoral College.
“The four CEC members were unable to bring a formal pretext for this decision. Opening all the ballot boxes in these districts when none of the interested parties requested this, and when the Central Election Commission has no proof, makes this decision merely arrogant and against the law”, Celibashi declared.
“It is clear for everyone what is currently happening at the Central Election Commission. This is a consequence of the political pressure made by the outgoing government”, Celibashi declared.
“Although the people who encouraged this initiative are very clear that nothing will change the electoral result, the Socialist Party reports this act which will only bring as consequence a deeper compromising of the outgoing government’s good will for a political rotation decent to an European country”, Celibashi declared.
Luan Rama from the Socialist Movement for Integration declared that the Central Election Commission is implementing double standards.
“Allow me to bring to your attention another fact which proves that this halved CEC is implementing two standards, against the law. We can compare it to the request of the Socialist Movement for Integration for 15 boxes in Kukes, which was accepted by this halved CEC. While for the case of Lezhe they apply a different standard”, Rama underlined.
