Balkan Islamic states meeting in Tirana

"Europe has 300 years to learn the lesson from Albania"




Presidents of Muslim Communities in the Balkans are expected today at a meeting of the Prime Minister of Albania Sali Berisha during the organization of the conference 6th in Tirana. Berisha stressed the importance of intercultural dialogue, and has singled out the example of Albania, whose religious beliefs do not differ for a moment this nation.

"There are beliefs that put people against each other, but use policies as a pretext beliefs," said Berisha. "The Balkans can be given as an example in the world of peaceful coexistence of religions," he added.

Prof. Dr. Mehmet Gormez, head of Turkey's Muslim community, said the anxious movement of trucks at the construction site of the great mosque of Tirana, which he said he would strongly support. He said that prayer had a day earlier in Shkodra, where I was very close to the mosque.
