Very few people are willing to speak to journalists, Tanjug’s on-site reporter said, but underline that they flee from conflicts.
Macedonian media reported on Saturday afternoon that the police are helping the evacuation of citizens from two neighborhoods in Kumanovo that are mostly populated by ethnic Albanians and where the clashes between police officers and an armed group started on Saturday morning.
Skopje-based daily Vecer reported from the scene that the police action in Kumanovo ended after 18:00 CET and that around 30 remaining terrorists, who were hiding in private houses, surrendered to the police.
