Over 4,000 suspected corruption cases reported in Albania during one month

TIRANA, March 30 (Xinhua) -- A total of 4,256 suspected corruption cases have been reported via a national anti-corruption portal, launched by the Albanian government in early February, according to report published on Monday by Albania's ministry for local issues.
The report finds that as many as 4,256 corruption cases, 905 of them in the country's education system, have been recorded from Feb. 2 to March 3.
The national anti-corruption portal was launched last month to enable citizens to report cases of corruption via the online program, e-mail and telephone with the aim of tackling corruption in the country.
According to the report, 412 reported cases have been dismissed, while decisions are expected to be made on the rest of the reports, Albanian telegraphic agency said.
