Greeks Pessimistic about EU Future

According to a Eurobarometer poll that was published on Friday, Greeks are the most pessimistic about the future of the European Union. Furthermore, the poll showed that the Greek people feel that their voice is least likely to be heard among all other European citizens.
Only 29% of Greeks believe in the future of the European Union, in contrast to 51% of European Union citizens as a whole who have confidence.
Furthermore, when asked if they believed that their voices were being heard within the 28-member Union, only 13% of Greeks agreed. Cyprus was in an even worse position with the lowest percentage (11%) of citizens in agreement. The European Union average was 29%.
In stark contrast, of Greeks polled, 62% supported monetary union and the euro, whereas the European Union average was 51%.
