Dačić called on Serbs to vote in the repeated elections on November 17 and assume a serious stand because this matter bears relevance for the survival of Serbs.
Addressing reporters after a conference in Belgrade, Dačić called on Serbs to vote in the elections not for the sake of the Serbian government but because the elections are relevant for their fate and survival, and said that "Serbia cannot defend more than this."

"Unless the Serbs vote in the elections, their mayor will be an ethnic Albanian. Good luck to them," Dačić was quoted as saying.

According to him, the elections do not constitute a status issue but a matter of survival.

The first round of the local elections was held in Kosovo on Sunday and the second round will take place on December 1.

The elections will be repeated in three polling stations in Kosovska Mitrovica where incident occurred during the voting in an atmosphere marked by tensions and pressures on voters by supporters of the boycott of elections which were for the first time organised by Priština in the northern part of the province
