Northern Kosovo municipality to decide on referendum

LEPOSAVIĆ -- Leposavić municipal assembly session will be held on Wednesday to discuss a referendum on the Priština institutions in northern Kosovo.
Leposavić Municipal Assembly Speaker Slavko Stevanović has stated that the session is scheduled to begin at 10:00 CET.
The other three northern Kosovo municipalities, Kosovska Mitrovica, Zvečan and Zubin Potok, have decided to hold the referendum on February 14-15.

Leposavić Mayor Branko Ninić said earlier that he believed that the referendum was “unnecessary at the moment because the state of Serbia has not recognized the Kosovo institutions” and that it was redundant for the municipalities to decide whether they recognize the Priština institutions or not.
