Tirana. Albania has asked NATO to help it cope with the floods, the Albanian media report.
The Alliance is expected to send two helicopters and equipment to help evacuate the population in the region of Skodra and some other areas.
“Albania has asked NATO for help. We expect help for transport. We are providing all regions with supplies, except for Velipoja,” said Albanian Defense Minister Arben Imami.

Greek Air Force sends assistance to flood-stricken Albania
A Hellenic Air Force Super Puma all-weather helicopter was dispatched to Tirana on Saturday afternoon, carrying 11 people, to provide assistance in flooded areas in Albania, it was made known by the Air Force General Staff (GEA).
