 In a confidential telegram to the various beneficiaries on 27 January 2010, the U.S. embassy in Ankara confirmed the plans of NE Kemalist cause provocation on the border with Greece and attack to the occupation of Northern Evros, revealed in one of the WikiLeaks documents that came shortly before the public. The telegram stated that "the military know that coups are no longer liked the public and therefore they made scenarios that would justify their intervention. One of these the most interesting was the "Sledgehammer." The military had planned this operation provided for bomb attacks on mosques to cause tension that would evolve into a crisis with Greece, and thus justify the need for intervention by the Army. Then refers to the chances of attack against Greece. The thing is huge, since the first official confirmation comes from the U.S. planned attack on Greece in 2003.
