The US Embassy in Tirana has published today as "Photo of the Day", an interesting moment of cooperation between the two countries:
"Two Albanian patrol vessels of the Iliria class (ALS Oriku and ALS Lissus) and the American ship USS Monterey execute simple and advanced naval maneuvers off the coast of Albania, performing all procedures and maneuvers in accordance with NATO standards. This training demonstrates increased coordination and bilateral interaction between our two fleets.
"Through operations and training such as this, the United States and its allies are improving existing cooperation relationships and taking major steps to maintain the region's vital connection to the global economy," said USSMonterey Capt. Joseph Baggett, CO.
