Russian Embassy denies scenario of the newspaper "Shekulli", for the assassination by Russian intelligence, to the Albanian opposition leader Lulzim Basha.

Albanian media followed news yesterday that the chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha could become the target of an assassination attempt organized abroad, in order to destabilize the situation in Albania.

According this scenario, the National Intelligence Service SHISH, has informed Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and the National Guard, to have stepped up security measures for the opposition leader. "Shekulli" newspaper went even further, accusing Russia that behind this scenario. But the Russian Embassy in Tirana has reacted, calling the news published in the newspaper as a defamation hose does not help relations between the two countries.
