According to well-known former journalist of the New York Times, Nicholas Gage, who was also elected tthe new President of the Panepirotic Federation, Albania  is making maximum efforts with the help of USA and the EU, to be part of the European Union, But not fulfill certain rights, which derive from the rights for minorities.

"We will do an intensive pressure from Washington as well Brussels to Tirana, to demand the rights of the Northern Epiriotes by the international conventions and agreements that Albania has signed himself", Gage says, among other things .
