Serbia, Albania to open cooperation in all areas – Sertic

BELGRADE – Serbia and Albania are open to cooperation in all areas for the sake of stability in the region and better use of the two countries’ potentials, President of the Serbian Chamber of Commerce (PKS) Zeljko Sertic and representatives of the Albanian government and economy in Tirana and Drac stated.

Albanian partners underscored the willingness of the Tirana government to realise joint projects, especially in infrastructure and trade, and to work on the removal of all obstacles to cooperation, PKS released.
During the meeting, the officials stated that there is a lot of room for increase of the two countries’ exchange of goods which now totals only around USD 100 million annually.
The officials also confirmed the willingness to organise a business forum in Belgrade in spring 2014 during which Serbian and Albanian businessmen would have direct talks concerning potential joint projects and jobs.
Sertic conferred with Albanian Deputy Prime Minister Niko Peleshi in Tirana on the improvement of the two countries’ economic cooperation.
During the working visit to Albania, Sertic conferred with Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Entrepreneurship Arben Ahmetaj, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Edmond Haxhinasto and President of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Albania Ilir Zhilla. The visit of the PKS president to Albania was realised within the activities aimed at promotion of Serbia’s business capacities, the release reads.
