FM: Pragmatic relations with Albania on EU path

NEW YORK -- FM Ivan Mrkić said after a meeting with his Albanian colleague Ditmir Bushati the two countries "should work pragmatically on the development of relations."

This is the case, said Mrkić, "since the goal of both of them is to join the EU."
Mrkić told Tanjug after he conferred with Bushati on the sidelines of the 68th regular session of the UN General Assembly in New York that such meetings offer a unique opportunity to confer with many foreign officials, adding that during his stay in New York he will have around 20 bilateral meetings.

“I conferred with the Albanian colleague on the two countries' relations and we agreed that he will visit Belgrade so as to put the pragmatic approach in the development of relations in the forefront as both countries want to join the EU,” Mrkić said.
