The RIMSE periodically presents thematic analyzes and broader security issues beyond those of "extremist Islam in Southeast Europe." This text logs major initiatives and movements coming from Albania in relation to the issue of "Chams".Since the early 90s, used by organizations Chams Tirana in times of crisis with Greece, as a minimum leverage with poor results, since this is an issue that has become final in the most competent and formal way since the mid- 40s.From 2007 onwards has intensified propaganda Chams at all levels but substantially informally coordinated with the established goals of Ankara, which goes to the exploitation of the state in collusion with certain circles of Albania. Concurrently, the existence of issues like this, contributes to instability in the Balkan Peninsula and attendant favors or prevents accordingly, implementation and major international business and geo-economic projects of various powerful states and multinational corporation
Events in Greece in recent years
- On 11 April 2007 they released four videos on the Internet that presents a group of so called "Liberation Army Tsamouria", which called for the return of the "territories".
- Similar videos released in 2008 in conjunction with propaganda on the internet that combined the proclamation of independence of Kosovo-February 2008 - with a similar desire to "Tsamouria." It is also important to mention that in the same period a similar propaganda through the internet and did some Muslims in Thrace focusing on the town of Echinos.
- The organization "Chameria Human Rights Association", issued a statement in 2007, with the signature of President Ahmet Giaffo, saying that the "Nazi" EDES Napoleon Zervas, committed a "genocide" against the Chams, expelling members of "minority "from their homes in Thesprotia. It is also stressed that the Greek government is not willing to settle the "tsamiko" remained firm in its position that there is no such issue.
- The organization "Tsamouria", chaired by Adrian Tano, held Friday, June 27, 2008, march from Saranda to the area Qafe-Bote, near the border with Greece. This is the third consecutive year was similar. The protesters bore badges, has labeled the phrase "God, help us to return to our homes." According to the Albanian press, march 5,000 people attended, including many Albanians from Kosovo. There were also "high" presence which emphasized the "interest" of the principles for the happenings, such as the Secretary of Culture Ekrem Spahia, Tsamis the descent and deputy gubernatorial Bujar Leskaj, the Socialist MP Shpetim Idrizi, among others.
