Fourth Brigade Commander Brigadier General Milosav Simović submitted a report to the defense minister and VS Army Chief Ljubiša Diković. He noted that the “situation in the Ground Safety Zone is stable but sensitive”.

He added that the biggest security threats in the last several years were attacks on police, human trafficking, cattle trafficking and stealing of timber.

The VS Jug Base was opened on November 23, 2009.
