Hungary seeks autonomy of Vojvodina

Deputy Foreign Minister of Hungary, Zholt Nemet said he expected the new Serbian Government to implement wide autonomy to the Serbian province of Vojvodina.

"I appreciate the importance of the new program the government of Serbia to include respect for the autonomy of Vojvodina and the rights of the Hungarian community," Nemet said in the newspaper of Novi Sad, 'Mantiar So'-Mađar so.
Also stated that he understands the concerns of Hungarians in Vojvodina in the new government's intentions are well known from the experience of early 1990.
"The Serbian Progressive Party must not forget that has emerged from the Serbian Radical Party of Vojislav Seselj, who was one of the key elements of barbarism and ethnic cleansing during the wars.
"And if we add that the new Prime Minister Dacic was representative of Slobodan Milosevic, must certainly understand this concern," said Nemet seeking a practice from the new Serbian government plan of integration, the newspaper writes.
