Ramush Haradinaj arrives in Prishtina

The leader of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo, Ramush Haradinaj, arrived today at Prishtina’s “Adem Jashari” international airport, according to the Kosovo media.

 Many people gathered to welcome the former Prime Minister of Kosovo, although the AFK had appealed for massive meetings to be avoided.

Haradinaj will be accompanied to his house by an EULEX vehicle, while it remains unknown if he will communicate later with the media.

Harafinaj’s arrival to Kosovo was made possible after the Court of Hague decided to continue his trial as a free man. The decision was not objected by the Prosecutor of the case.

After this decision, the Prosecution had the legal right to present a complaint until Wednesday at 12:00, but they did not file it.

Haradinaj’s partial trial will start on July 2010. The final verdict is expected to be given a few weeks after.

Haradinaj traveled to Hague when the International Court of Justice ruled in favor of Kosovo’s independence.
