Military Land Commander of 42 countries to meet in Tirana
The heads of the Military Land Forces from 42 countries, 26 of which are NATO members, have started the seventh dialogue round in Tirana.

The conference is held each year since 2006 and serves to incite dialogue for reinforcing the connections between the NATO military authorities and their partners. General Gjunkshi, Chief of General Staff of Albanian Armed Forces, declared that they will achieve important conclusions for the development and transformation of the Land Forces in full consistence with the security requirements.

According to Gjunkshi, the transformation of these forces is important for giving an efficient response to threats that derive from the globalization phenomenon.

Berisha declared that Albania is committed to work strongly in order to improve the Armed Forces at any possible aspect.

“Three weeks ago I visited Afghanistan, and that was one of the most impressive visits of my life. I found soldiers, officers and instructors that worked in a very difficult situation for peace and security, not only for the Afghan people, but for the entire world. I think that our armies should stay with the US in the efforts to secure the developments that are going on in this country. The strategic agreement signed between President Obama and President Karzai, is a strong basis for the contribution of every country. NATO is the best that these nations have, because this alliance has guaranteed the best international order that the world has ever had”, Berisha declared.

Due to the secret matters that will be discussed, the discussions between the 42 generals will be held behind closed doors.
