Properties, Republicans against government

Properties, Republicans against government
The Republican Party, the main ally of the democrats, expressed their stance against the government for the draft-law on properties.

“This initiative does not give a solution to the problem, but makes it worse. The government is damaging the owners with this law, since this decision cannot be taken without asking them”, declared the vice Chairman of the Republican Party, Alfred Seshati.

The Republican Party emphasized that the law approved by the Council of ministers for giving the private property without compensation, damages the possibilities for finding a final solution to the issue.

“It is an obligation for the Government and Parliament to resolve the private property issue in full accordance with the European Convention, the Constitution and the Strasbourg Court decisions, especially for the fact that this is one of the 12 key recommendations for the EU candidate status. Our representative in government asked for the laws that are currently under process to not pass without taking the opinion of the legal owners, who have remained slaves of the political conjunctions.

The Committee of the Property Title Verification, with the law passed in 2008, was tasked to verify all abusive property titles granted through law 7501, and the government decisions for the former farming lands. Nothing has been made so far. Every property title that damages the physical compensation of legal owners falls against the legal requests of the owners and the constant EU recommendations, thus, this process is unacceptable by the republicans”, Seshati declared.

The vice leader of the Republican Party asked for these laws to not pass in Parliament without taking the opinion of the land owners. Seshati underlines that the government and the Parliament are not owners, but they serve to the rights of the legal owners.
